Suriname, 1977, jazz fusion

Ronald Snijders – Natural Sources: Snijders plays every instrument on this album, making it quite atypical for jazz. This recording doesn’t break any new ground, but it’s a pleasant flute-based jazz album, and there just aren’t that many of those. Bamboo flutes and piccolos can soothe even the wildest heart, I imagine. There is a watercourse way quality to this jazz: just float downstream and let the river take you wherever it will.
