Miles DavisPorgy and Bess

This is Davis’ beyond-cool take on Gerswhin’s Porgy and Bess opera, and oh my are the arrangements smooth and sweet! Not my favorite of the jazz master’s albums (I like him more funky or fusion), but is there anything Miles can’t do? He talked about this album giving him freedom and space with fewer chords, giving his imagination room to wander.
