Argentina, 1957, Hispanic American folk

Leda y María – Entre valles y quebradas: Vol. I: Rustic, minimal, real. A wonderful balance between the sense of wanting to preserve the traditional and the desire to express oneself with one’s own creativity. The vocals here are freaky and fiery. The powerful use of the Argentine drum, made of hollowed tree trunk, anchor this music to the earth as strongly as roots hold fast a tree.
