Creedence Clearwater Revival – Green River: There are CCR singles so magnificent that they’ve entered public consciousness, and then there’s “Lodi”, the band’s greatest song, in my opinion, for it is them at their bluesiest, and thus at their most real and most beautiful. This is a brilliant rock album, no doubt about it, and “Lodi” shines right at its center.
