Sílvia Pérez Cruz & Raül Fernández Miró – Granada: I enjoy the clean, unembellished sound of this deceptively simply folk music. Pérez Cruz’s lovely voice perfectly fills the space between Fernández’s minimal guitar and the listener’s ear. This duo performs flamenco nuevo with an experimental elegance that has no fear of swerving into harder, more distorted and discordant territory as the passion temporarily rises.
