France, 1972, Canterbury scene / avant-prog / progressive rock

I’m just making a note for myself here to remember that this album, though released in 1972, was recorded in December 1971, thus technically putting it within the magical time-frame of that peerless year of music. Perhaps I’m as big a fool as Malvolio, “and yet to crush this a little, it would bow to me”. This album is genius, just like its predecessor, from the album art down to the silly little avant-prog notes, and what results is the perfect union of melody and complexity.
