USA, 1972, film soundtrack / funk / Chicago soul

I’ve yet to meet a person who doesn’t like this album. Even when I was on a PHPBB forum back in the day, one old Irish dude recommended this album for our discussion club, and as far as I remember, this is the only pick that was unanimously liked. I mean, sad sacks who think The Smiths are great and cannot escape the absurdity and humiliation of their daily existence to metalheads who shit on everything, everyone loved this album. “Pusherman” pushes this music on your ears, and then you’re hooked, mainlining falsetto funk.
