UK, 1999, funeral doom metal

Funeral doom always strikes me as “heavy”. I know, sounds stupidly obvious, but what I mean is something full and hard and heavy, like a hammer, or more like a storm with an oppressive atmosphere. But this album has sharp edges all around it, cutting through the heaviness, keeping the ponderous, dark clouds afloat.
