USA, 1986, thrash metal

I don’t have many music memories from my childhood, but this is one of the strongest. I was 12 when this album came out. The next year was junior high school, and that was a perfect storm of metal, edge, and hormones. This is the only thing I listened to–me and all my friends. This album defined our early teens experience. Strange that I never think about this album from one day to the next, considering that when it comes up in rotation, I’m always pleased it’s there. But I never seek it out. However, my teenage daughters now, when they first heard this album, fell in love with it…just the way I did all those years ago. One of them asked for it on vinyl for Christmas one year. I was well chuffed.
