QuilapayúnCantata de Santa María de Iquique

Music interspersed with spoken-word parts as they tell the story of the massacre of miners at the town of Iquique in 1907. This is a document championing the cause of the oppressed in an unfair world. Lonely, harmonious flute phrases, gentle, acoustic guitar work punctuated by fiery, passionate playing. The male choral folk singing here is wonderful.
