Sweden, 1980, rock in opposition
Zamla Mammaz Manna – Familjesprickor: I feel more at home wrapped up in the insanity of this music. I seek out more and more of it, and my mind keeps coming back to this kind of music even when I’m sitting in silence. I discovered Måltid some time ago but never went further into Samla Mammas Manna’s discography, but now that my appetite for avant-prog has grown, I’m glad to have dived in. The water is choppy and unpredictable, so it requires all my swimming skill just to keep my head above water, bobbing there like all the bottles in the sea. Lemme just take one of those bottles and blow over the top, creating my own kind of silly music amid the detritus of a modern life.
