France, 1980, zeuhl

EskatonArdeur: On paper, zeuhl should be among the warmest of all genres, meaning that in theory the lifeblood of the music is hot. But in reality, the music is cold, like space, with a dread vastness about it. I guess I just can’t separate the genre from its roots in Vander’s vision. Anyway, perhaps there is a warmth to it, but it is only an effect, not a source. It vivifies the life left on a world after the creators, through song, terraform the planet out of its barren coldness.
