UK, 1978, progressive folk / psychedelic folk

Caedmon – Caedmon: This is marvelous. As a devout Catholic, I actually listen to very little Christian music because…it sucks. Of course, I’m not talking about traditional Christian music like Bach’s Mass in B Minor (quite possibly the best piece of music ever written, by the way) but rather what is dubbed CCM. This album, however, is beautiful and interesting folk, with songs based on Our Blessed Lord’s parables, like the ten wise virgins and the ten foolish virgins. I’m sure the English poet, Cædmon, would be proud.
Once again showing the power of folk, as well as its sense in choosing the eternal on which to comment.
