Germany, 1972, space ambient / progressive electronic

Klaus Schulze – Irrlicht: This album is one of vague impressions for me, which is, I think, not what the album is trying to avoid. First come the distant symphonic violins playing intermittently over a steady drone of static. The rhythmic snoring of the old man sitting across from me on the train fit perfectly here, and for a few bars, I thought it was indeed part of the music. All of this then gives way to an electronic Gothic organ feel.
