Clau Aniz – Filha de mil mulheres: This album has a lot of unexpected yet welcome turns. It’s got a warm, jazzy, mellow, dreamy feel, though not throughout. Why does music always sound better when you’re tired? These after-work on-the-train albums always hit me right. This music feels like slipping into a long, hot bath.

When I first glanced at this album title, I thought, “Daughter of a thousand mothers? No, a thousand women.” It was fun to learn that I was correct.
