UK, 2015, electropop / synthpop

Marina and the DiamondsFroot: Marina simply can’t make a substandard album, to say nothing of a straight-up bad one. She just gets better and better with each release…and that’s saying something looking at the two albums that come before this one. Marina continues to grow, both professionally and personally. You can really hear it in her songs, how she’s come to accept certain things about herself and how she seems to be more comfortable with herself sexually. This album is more mature, richer, and lusher. It’s sweet fruit juice dribbling down your chin.
