Björk – Post: Björk is always a treat, her music being sexy and mysterious, and no matter how many times I listen to her albums, I always end up finding something I’d not heard before. Her music is lush and rich, and there’s always a lot to unpack. On this most recent listen, I was impressed by how she deals with such an overdone topic as finding the ideal man, making the subject fresh again with her poetic lyrics and earnest yet quirky vocals.
I always feel like I should like Bjork more than I do, and in the end, I think it’s probably the electronic sound that mitigates against the lyrics for me. Not that they don’t match. They do. It sounds excellently put together. It’s just not as much for me.
