Concertgebouworkest, Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy – The Four Piano Concertos (Rachmaninoff): This is a compilation album of four Rachmaninoff concertos, Haitink conducting the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, and Ashkenazy playing piano. Am I the only one who cranks the volume when “classical” (using the term colloquially) comes up in rotation? There’s so much nuance one can so easily miss.
